01 — What you get

The base build

Your brand team owns all creative. This scope picks up at design handoff and carries through to a live, production-ready site.

  • Development of all approved page templates from final design files
  • Full desktop, tablet, and mobile responsiveness
  • Component and design-system build — type, color, navigation, footer, reusable modules
  • CMS setup and content modeling for every editable area
  • Content population from approved copy and delivered assets
  • Functionality per the final sitemap and development requirements
  • SEO setup — metadata, structured data, XML sitemap, robots.txt, redirect mapping
  • Analytics — GA4 and Google Tag Manager with baseline event tracking
  • QA across current major browsers at three breakpoints
  • Password-protected staging environment for review
  • Domain connection, DNS, SSL, and launch
  • Thirty days of post-launch bug fixes at no additional cost

Base pricing covers up to twelve unique page templates and content population for twelve static pages and forty CMS items. Volume beyond that is billed at $150/hour with an estimate provided in advance.

02 — Build your scope

Configure the engagement

Your overview lists integrations still to be confirmed. Select what applies and the total updates as you go. Ranges narrow to a fixed figure once requirements are confirmed.

Launch Essentials bundle applied — $8,500

Age verification, third-party store locator, and CRM integration taken together are priced at $8,500 flat, against an a la carte range of $6,500 – $12,500.

Estimated engagement total $41,000 – $42,500
Base $29,500

Base build $29,500 · Launch Essentials bundle $8,500 · Accessibility $3,000 – $4,500

Module pricing is confirmed in writing before any work is committed. Third-party platform and data fees are billed to you directly and are listed separately below.

03 — How the compliance work is handled

Accessibility and age verification

Both of these get misrepresented often enough that it is worth stating plainly what is being delivered and what is not.

Accessibility

Accessible practice is built into every template rather than added at the end — semantic structure, logical heading order, visible focus states, labeled form fields, keyboard-operable navigation, and contrast checked against the brand palette during design QA.

The module covers the work that sits on top of that:

  • Automated audit across all templates
  • Manual keyboard-only navigation pass
  • Screen-reader pass on core user journeys
  • Remediation of identified issues
  • Documented fix log
  • Published accessibility statement page

We will deliver remediation toward WCAG 2.1 AA. We do not certify legal ADA compliance — no such certification exists — and we recommend an independent accessibility audit where legal assurance is required.

Age verification

A self-attestation gate is the standard approach for regulated marketing sites: a date-of-birth prompt on first visit, remembered for the session, with optional geo-detection so it only appears in markets that require it.

What it does and does not do:

  • Meets the customary standard for marketing sites in regulated categories
  • Configurable minimum age and market rules
  • Does not verify identity — self-attestation is not enforceable
  • Hard ID verification is a per-check third-party service, applied at checkout rather than site entry

If your legal team requires verified identity at site entry rather than at purchase, flag it before signing — that changes both the approach and the cost.

04 — Schedule

Timeline

From design handoff, or third-party vendor access, whichever comes later.

  1. 01Design QA, environment setup, kickoff1 - 2 weeks
  2. 02Component and design-system build2– 3 weeks
  3. 03Page template development3 – 5 weeks
  4. 04Module and integration work (parallel)2 – 3 weeks
  5. 05Content population and internal QA1 – 2 weeks
  6. 06Client review and revision rounds1 – 2 weeks
  7. 07Launch, DNS cutover, monitoring1 week
  8. ΣTotal from handoff10 – 14 weeks

Third-party vendor onboarding — fulfillment partners, locator data services, merchant accounts — carries independent lead times of four to eight weeks and should be initiated at kickoff.

05 — Running costs

Platform and third-party fees

This proposal assumes the technology stack is open and that Shawn selects the platform. The fees below are vendor costs billed to you directly and are not included in this proposal pricing.

Estimated annual third-party platform costs

Website platform — site plan and hosting$276 – $588All builds
Domain registration$15 – $60All builds

Accounts are registered in your name, so you retain ownership of every platform and all data. If your organization requires a specific existing platform, enterprise CMS, or hosting environment, raise it before signing — that changes the build approach and this proposal would be requoted.

06 — What this depends on

Assumptions and handoff

Design handoff standard

The first five business days are a design QA window. We review delivered files against a component inventory and flag what is missing — hover and focus states, error and empty states, intermediate breakpoints, undefined components, or conflicts between templates.

Gaps return to your brand team, or can be resolved by Shawn Reece at $150/hour with written approval.

Two rounds of consolidated feedback per template are included. Additional rounds, or changes to approved designs after build begins, are billed at $150/hour with an estimate first.

What we assume

  • Platform and stack selection is open, with Shawn Reece recommending the approach
  • Design files arrive in an inspectable tool — Figma, Sketch, or XD — at desktop and mobile, with a documented component inventory. Flat PDF, JPG, or InDesign files do not meet handoff requirements
  • Color, type, and spacing are defined as reusable styles or variables, with published components and named layers
  • Copy is final and approved at handoff
  • Assets are delivered web-optimized, or with permission to optimize
  • Product information arrives in a structured format
  • One point of contact holds approval authority
  • Vendor accounts and API access are provisioned by you

Not included

Brand strategy, copywriting, photography, design, and creative development are handled by your brand team and sit outside this scope.

Ongoing updates, maintenance, and additional development support are covered by the support tiers below.

Hosting and third-party platform fees are billed to you directly, as listed in section 05.
